Open the walk in SatsymphQR (click on the walk title in ‘Library’)
“I AM THE BLUE ARROW” – turn the screen around until the arrow (ME!) points towards ‘a soundpool’ (the labelled zones). Walk in that direction until the arrow (ME!) is within the soundpool.
We suggest you listen first to the ‘START’ soundpool, then to the ‘Welcome’, which are included in each walk. Then use your ‘Point & Find Device’ (your phone) to go find the poems. They will automatically trigger !
NOTE: most of the poems loop – if you don’t get the beginning, just hang in there, it’ll come round again (the ones we call ‘processional’ may not do this. In this case you’ll hear them only once as you process along the track). Some poems, also, are experimental (soundpools overlap or are scattered around a central point sort of thing – play with them, see what they do!
Take care when using the app – watch out for other people, obstacles etc. All the poems are in publicly accessible places – do not wander into private property or off piste!

ME – the blue arrow – heading for some interesting looking soundpools on the East Quantoxhead-Kilve route! Each poem is labelled (title/author).
The figures are the distance from where you are to the soundpool.
There are some interesting overlaps and layerings of poems designed in for you, so the important thing is PLAY WITH THE POEMSCAPE – see how it reacts to where you are and which way you face!
This is something of what the experience feels like: WATCHET WALK THRU – THE ANCIENT MARINER
This is the INTRODUCTION and WELCOME (to follow 26/11/24)
